Hope your week is going well! I hope your year is doing well so far.
We are about 6 weeks into the new year and by now 80% of New Years Resolutions have probably been broken. I don’t remember where I got this stat from it has been so long. Think it was in USA Today a few years back.
In the beginning of the new year I always make it a resolution to sell more books. It is a simple goal, but not having a solid plan for making it happen isn’t a good plan at all.
Posting your book on social media is a huge time suck, especially if you get caught up on reading other peoples post while you are there. It is easy to spend an hour on Facebook and not even realize it. That takes away from valuable writing time.
We have some regular authors that don’t post much to social media at all. They let our service be how they do their bulk of social media. Since every submission to our site also goes out to our social media channels it reaches a lot of readers. That is enough for them and they don’t have to focus their efforts on their social media and can write instead.
Are You Tracking Your Book Marketing Social Media Ads?
It is really important to have both writing goals and marketing goals. Many of our authors use us and a combination of other marketing methods.
Do you have any writing goals for the year? Leave a comment and let me know what they are.
