Health by Design Project: From being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis to a happy, healthy life free from medications by Gregory Ronczewski
In the spring of 2020, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis – an autoimmune disease when the immune system attacks joints. The cause is unknown, with no cure. After several tests and X-rays, the doctors offered me a standard treatment – immune suppressants. However, I refused to subject myself to what would accompany me for the rest of my life. Instead, I decided to heal myself by applying what I knew best – a design process. Through several feedback loops focusing on changes to my lifestyle and diet, I liberated myself from rheumatoid arthritis and nasty allergies I had suffered all my life.
This book is not a piece of medical advice and should not be treated as such. It is not a guide, recipe or manual of some sort. Instead, it is an invitation to imagine. To allow yourself to dream. To challenge everything you have held to be true about yourself. To trust nothing and question everything, and not to comply. An invitation to open eyes and see what is hiding in plain sight. Or to close the eyes, for that matter, and then see. In other words, to trust intuition. To be curious and love our incredible self-healing bodies. To overcome fear because there is nothing to fear.
