Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada but currently live in Bowmanville, Ontario on the opposite side of the Greater Toronto Area.

I have three children and Bernese Mountain Dog named Rocky!

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
When I was in grade two I brought 'The Hobbit" to school to read when I was done my homework! A little advanced for my age but I wanted to read the story so bad!

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Ben Kane is my favourite author. His retelling/historical fiction novels are outstanding and suck you right into the environment that he describes! The way he writes his stories inspires me to continue with my writing.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
After returning from war, Jason, also known as Orion, is tormented by severe symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. No longer able to deal with the stressors of society, he flees to a cabin in the isolated backwoods of Alaska, hoping to find peace in seclusion.

During this isolation, Jason's symptoms worsen, and the manifestation of his darkest demons will surface to confront him about the past, striving to ultimately break what is left of his spirit and end his life. To continue living, Jason must overcome his guilt, woodland predators and terrifying creatures conjugated from his trauma and negative inner voice.

To do this, he must follow the lessons from a mystical Native American warrior named Charging Bear, who attempts to teach him the mental and spiritual tactics of fighting his inner demons.

In this modern spin on the Greek mythological tale of the same name, Orion will be confronted by the deadliest threat he has ever faced. Scorpio, his negative inner voice.

For Jason to have a future. He must confront the past… and himself.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in England in 1973. My family lineage is a mix of English, Scottish, Welsh, Italy and German – I am terrible at foreign languages though!

I grew up in a small village in Essex, England. First car I owned a White VW 1973 Beetle! I paid for it myself with money I collected whilst I worked from 14 years old. Although I still went to school mind.
I have 2 cats, one wild and one domesticated. In our garden we keep 5 chickens and 1 cockerel.
Used to love to travel but hard now as I have a wife and 2 daughters.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My fascination with books came from a Book Club I nagged my Mum to join when I was at Primary School. I must have been 7-8 years old. The book I received from the club was Ian Livingston's "Forest of Doom" it was amazing! You had to make choices and roll dice for combat and fighting etc. also luck rolls. So much fun, and yes, I did cheat occasionally. Oh dear should I tell you this?
I must confess I so loved Tolkien that I took the books from my School Library without asking. I did return the three books later though, so this is my redemption.
I started writing quite late. Although my College and Uni days I had to produce essays. Article writing was my first gig. Now I write pure creative works.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite author is Stephen King. He crafts such gripping narratives and his character development is incredible. He has my record for books I can’t stop reading! Regardless of the time, I read until I finish even if I miss sleep!
Favorite genres though include Sci-Fi (I love the possibilities) and Supernatural/Mystery (I like the psychology!)

I enjoy the style of Peter F Hamilton too, his imagination in terms of Sci-Fi is outstanding!

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I had the idea for "Kasabian of Stronobos" a few years back and the idea stuck with me. This is a sign for me as a writer to continue the idea. I wanted to create a real tough character, an elite, a warrior of the mind. BUT he had to have a central weakness, a thing that made him incomplete. His skills of course are amazing, his ability to interrogate his subjects outstanding, but something inside nagged him. He therefore misplaced his loyalty and this causes him pain and suffering until the revelation.
The idea of using Mars and Earth combined my fascination for how one day we will colonize Mars. But what problems will this cause? I am sure it will not be a utopia. This idea comes out in “Kasabian of Stronobos – Heretics of Mars”

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I just recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. I do have a pet, she is a cat named Grimmie.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Surprisingly 23. I always hated reading but during 2020 I was listening to a lot of podcasts then IT happened. Then I beta read (text to speech) a book called Levie by Aaron Kane Romero. Then I realized what I’ve been missing out on. Then I read more and more ever since then. Now as author, I’ve always like creating stories since the third grade. I just had no idea what I wanted to do first until I did.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Hm, hard to say who is my favorite. I like Jeremy Robison, J.N Chaney, Aaron Kane Romero. My favorite is YA action-adventures. I don’t a have direct person or thing the inspires me to write. It’s more often comes from my dreams I want to share them.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The debut book is called Unborn Ghost. It is a YA paranormal, coming of age, adventure story. A man named Ashur is transported into the Ghost Realm. He becomes an Unborn Ghost. Being an Unborn Ghost he only has eight hours to get back to his body if not he will be sealed away forever.
Ashur is the main character of the story. I made him as relatable in todays day and age. He a very simple individual with very simple wants and needs. And that is to live a stress less life.
The book took me a little over two years to write. Once I got it to the editor, we worked together to finally release Unborn Ghost.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in central Illinois but raised in Phoenix, Arizona in the 1950s and 1960s, a far different place than it is today. I cut my teeth on Western novels and my heart will always be in the old west. However, when a great story comes along, you go where it takes you. That was the case with "One Night With Finnbar." I admit to knowing nothing about Georgian, England when I started writing this novel but I listened to what the characters told me and followed up with my own research to verify what they said. It was a wild ride to the finish and I am grateful for the opportunity to share their story with so many readers. I am currently working on my next novel set in 18th-century London. Though it is not a sequel, some of the characters from ONWF will return. Some characters are just too much fun to let go of. Leo D'Lance

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Good question, and one I have asked many of my writer friends. I knew I wanted to be a writer when I was about ten years old. I actually fashioned my first pen name at that age. I wrote stories for myself because I thought no one would believe I could write. I was a very poor reader and that really slowed my ambition to be a writer. Though it took many years to get to the point of actually publishing a book, I never gave up on the idea that someday I would be in print.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I can't really think of a favorite author. I read just about everything. I like the works of Anthony McDonald because of his conversational style of storytelling. I am also a fan of Lawrence Jay Switzer because I love a ripping good satire.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is set in the dark and dangerous streets of 18th-century London. To me, this is a fascinating place and time. Many of the characters used in the telling are fashioned after real historical persons and the story wraps around actual events. Without giving away too much of the plot; Constable Bobbie Qualls is thwarted in his ambition to become a Bow Street Constable until the grand-nephew of an aristocrat goes missing and Qualls is tasked to find him before it is too late.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in New York State. My family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, when I was 4 and I lived there for 40 years. I now live in the pristine and gorgeous mountains of Upstate South Carolina. I'm married with five daughters and have one beloved pet, a cat named Cleo. My wife and I spend a lot of time in nature, hiking in the mountains and kayaking on nearby lakes and rivers.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I began writing books when I was in second grade. I would read them in front of class, and the other kids seemed to love them. As a teenager, I became fascinated with Stephen King's early books. At the same time, I because a lifelong adoring fan of J.R.R. Tolkien. I wrote my first real book when I was 20 and shopped it with an agent. It didn't find a home but I wasn't upset because it's usually your second or third book that really takes off, right?. However, life got in the way, and I didn't write my second book until I was 45 years old. I ended up writing and publishing "The Death Wizard Chronicles," a six-book epic fantasy for mature audiences. I also published a ghost story, but it has since gone out of print even though it sold quite well. I will probably revive it relatively soon.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
As I mentioned above, I'm a big fan of Stephen King and J.R.R. Tolkien. My favorite genre is epic fantasy, though I also enjoy horror and sci-fi. I've read a lot of epic fantasy. In addition to Tolkien, some of my favorites are George R.R. Martin, Steven Erikson, and Stephen Donaldson. But there are too many to mention here. I am inspired by these great authors and also by the pure love of writing. "The Death Wizard Chronicles" leaned toward the literary side with a lot going on between the lines. Some readers seemed to really like the literary elements, others not so much. Many of my characters tend to be Tolkienish in that they are either good or evil. Of course, I have some gray characters but not to the extent that some authors do. "The Death Wizard Chronicles" is for mature audiences only. If your violence/sex meter can tolerate "Game of Thrones," you should be able to tolerate my series.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest series is on the other end of the spectrum. "Dark Circles" is a middle-grade trilogy appropriate for ages 13 and above. Book 1 ("Do You Believe in Magic?") will be released in May 2023.

Here is a synopsis:

Abandoned by his derelict father, a grieving boy named Charlie moves from Florida to his grandparents' farm on 100 wooded acres in Upstate South Carolina. There, the boy rediscovers his passion for life in a most unexpected place—a fantasy world hidden deep in the forest that is brimming with wondrous magic and wicked monsters.

In the real world, Charlie is a nerdy boy picked on by bullies at his new school. But in the fantasy world, he becomes a wizard who wields high magic.

Eventually, all blend into one.

“Dark Circles” is an adventure of epic scope. In language, tone and content, it is appropriate for ages 13 and older. But only those with a hero's heart will dare to stand by Charlie as he battles a fantastical array of magical creatures.

When you enter Charlie's fantasy world, it is dangerous to sleep. If you do, evil will lurk in your dreams and attempt to harm you. You'll end up with dark circles beneath your eyes, just like Charlie's.
