Featured Interview With Author Wiley K. March
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I spent my childhood traveling all over the United States. I currently call NYC home and my kids, and their goofy and loveable American Staffordshire live with me.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was about eight when my passion for writing was born. Initially, I began writing because my siblings and I had a difficult childhood. I wrote comedic adventures to entertain them, acting them out as I went along.
In junior high school, an amazing teacher inspired my further development as an author.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I wasn't ever the little kid who read Judy Blume my favorites have always been intense and colorful writers like Victor Hugo, Salman Rushdie, Stephen King, Dean Koontz.
Most of my writing is inspired by people I've met, real events and nightmares.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My debut novel, The Bully is written from the perspective of a girl who endures all the horrible things that a child should never experience. It twists her up spiritually and emotionally into something she never wanted to be.
