Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Lady Trenette Wilson is a native Texas girl who has dedicated her life to impacting communities through etiquette. The founder of the National Association of Urban Etiquette Professionals (NAUEP), the largest etiquette association in the nation, Lady T is an award-winning author, social historian and etiquette expert.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Writing books began early for me. When I was only five years old, I wrote and illustrated my first book, Free Runner. I knew then paper and pen were a part of my destiny.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I am a history buff.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest work, Royal, Black and Elite: A Tribute to Black Nobility and the Pioneers of Etiquette in Black History is a fresh new look at the other side of Black History, the royal side. Featuring 26 amazing blacks who were royal, elite or etiquette pioneers is a fascinating look at little known facts about African Americans and their royal lineage.
