Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Kanika, I pen under the name K. K. Harris. I was born and raised in Little Rock Arkansas. With my husband and children, I reside in Benton Arkansas. Unfortunately for me I am allergic to pet dander, so no pets.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Around second or third grade, I became fascinated with checking books out from the schools library. Shel Silverstein was had a collection of poetry books that I checked out every year until I reached high school. That should have been a sign that I enjoyed creative writing.
In 2012, I accepted the fact that my imagination was worth putting on paper.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
It's hard to choose a favorite because I am such an avid reader. (Francis Ray, Brenda Jackson, Terry McMillan, Eric Jerome Dickey, EJ Brock, Sylvia Hubbard) Romance of almost any kind is my favorite genre to read. My husband inspires and motivates me in my writing.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book tackles the extra hidden hoopla that comes with being in a marriage with a public figure. Megan Foster is forced to deal with all type of hurdles while trying to find a happy medium with her husband. William Foster is ten years older than his wife and realizes he has more options than most men in his position. They both want what they feel they deserve and under the watchful eyes of the church, they will have to choose wisely what path to take to find happiness.
