Featured Interview With Jenna Greene
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in Lethbridge, Alberta, though I was born on the west coast of Canada. I'm a teacher and writer. When not working or writing, I co-host the podcast "Quill and Ink: A Podcast for Booklovers." I live with a sassy five year old, a book-naive husband, and a feline named Thomas.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I grew up listening to my mother telling stories. Even though they were based on real events in her life, the endings changed every time. Later on, I learned that she was altering her tales based on her audiences' reactions. Though she never penned a word, she was a true storyteller.
In high school, I penned poetry – which I soon learned I have no knack for. I was 'too wordy" most publishers claimed. So once I turned my attention to novels, things went much more smoothly. My first draft of my first manuscript was completed during my university years, when I was only twenty years old.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love reading YA. All YA all the time! It helps that I taught middle school for over a decade and my students helped recommend good titles. While it is my true love, I do read a bit of everything: romance, classics, non-fiction … you name it!
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is RENEW. It is the second book in The Reborn Marks series, and takes place just weeks after the final chapter of the first book (REBORN). Having escaped slavery and travel through the Wastelands, our main character has to deal with the guilt of those she left behind and decide what she is willing to sacrifice to keep others from a life of servitude.
