Tell us a little about your latest book?
I had an exhilarating experience writing 'Women of Life'. Several times I felt it was beyond me… like I had no control over the revelations and insights that kept flooding my mind. It was such a big project- a synopsis of the inspirational and dramatic lives of over 50 women. I started working on 'Women of Life' about 6years ago. I had to pray and research like I had never done. It was a very emotional and spiritual project. I remember bursting into tears as I wrote about Samson's first wife. There are virtuous women, crooks, prostitutes, leaders, prophetesses, adulteresses, murderers and philanthropists. So you can just imagine how the story goes 😄. Talk about love, drama, support, choices, family, adventure…so much knowledge- We looked at the complexities of two sisters being married to one man… the possible implications of Rachel stealing her father's idols… the helplessness of Bilhah and Zilpah; who were made surrogate mother's without their permissions. The determination of Tamar the daughter-in-law of Judah
to get a heir and the subsequent judgement reminded me of the law class where I was taught about aggravating and mitigating factors. The staggering faith of virgin Mary and the true friendship that she shared with Elizabeth… Lessons from Queen Vashti's dethronement, Dinah' s sexual violation, etc.
I shared personal stories about my family, I have six beautiful sisters and I live in Africa. The world needs to know the truth about gender equality and the obstacles gender parity can cause. I wrote 'Women of Life' as a woman, a pastor, a wife, a mother, a counsellor, a friend and a sister because it demanded all roles.
'Women of Life' tells you all you need to know about Women; The truth, the myths and the secrets. Women are powerful forces of influence. Whether for good or evil, no matter the roles they play; as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, friends or staff. Their intuitive nature, strength, multitasking prowess and ability to nurture always make them a force to reckon with.
Everyone who wants to live a peaceful life must learn to give every woman in their life her rightful place and let her function in her unique role. This is so important because the average woman is multifaceted, far-reaching and boundless. Virtually every woman wants to extend her relevance, infringe on other roles and grab more territories, seriously, this is why we see mothers wanting to play the role of wives, wives wanting to take the place of mothers-in-law, sisters, female friends or even staff colliding into each other’s role. Wherever you see strife, heartbreak and marital issues, the core reason is not always far from this. Most women can endure anything but the snatching away of their roles, position and rewards to give to another.
Many people bemoan the fact that women cannot be understood, I saw a funny meme encouraging men to give up on ever understanding women, it said: “if women shave off their god-given brows and draw another for themselves… if women exchange their natural breast for silicon… how can any man ever hope to understand or satisfy them?” Are women that mysterious? Are women unpredictable? This book gives us a deep insight into the ‘WOMAN’ God created, what you need to know about her, how to harness the power embedded in her and enjoy the blessings of being her, knowing her or loving her.
I don't know how to blow my own trumpet so I may not do enough justice in reviewing this book. So please understand when I say simply, "everyone needs to read this book".
As the author, I have spent uncountable hours writing and editing it. And yet I get so blessed everytime I read it. Imagine how much more it will bless you, your friends and family. "Women of Life" is the kind of book that you cannot keep to yourself; after reading every chapter, you would want to share the new inspiration and knowledge you got… It was such a magnificent work. I felt so humble that God chose to use me. Thank you dear Lord Jesus 🥰.
