Featured Interview With Dee Rose
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. I currently live in Denver, Colorado where I have two beautiful daughters. I studied Political Science at Metropolitan State University. I also took creative writing classes where I began to write again.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing as a senior in high school when I entered a poetry contest. My mother wrote poems. I read a few of them and decided to try my hand at writing poetry. When I was honorably discharged from the Navy, I began to write again. I finished writing my first novel after seven years called Cloning Around. However, my first published work was a romantic novella entitled, Forbidden Love. It was dedicated to my sister, who had died that year.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite author is Stephen King. I love his books. I love reading science fiction and fantasy books. It's why I chose to write in those genres. But my children actually are the ones, who inspire me to write. They are my legacy and I want to leave them something after I'm gone.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is entitled, The Death Brothers: A Supernatural Awakening. It is the eighth book of a ten-book series in the Hangman Universe (HMU). It centers around the vampire slayer, Jericho Caine and the demon hunter, Father Tom Padilla. A female angel, Sariel, has romantic feelings for Jericho and knows she has to get rid of Tom to seduce the slayer. She recruits the Hangman, and vengeful scientist and his monster to do her bidding. Along with help from their allies, Tom and Jericho are now fighting to their lives instead of trying to save the world.
