Featured Interview With Author Bela Feketekuty
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in Bethesda, Maryland, and am also currently working as a part-time free-lance software developer in IT.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started reading classic US novels in high school such as The Great Gatsby, The Grapes of Wrath, The Red Badge of Courage, The Jungle, Tom Sawyer, The Catcher in the Rye, Rebel Without a Cause, Catch-22, The Old Man and the Sea, and other US novels.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors are John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Upton Sinclair, and Mark Twain. I enjoy reading novels that describe the everyday challenges that ordinary people face. I was inspired to write my book, Her Millions Are Worthless because I knew a young couple where the woman was a millionaire, and the man was lost and searching for his future. I also wrote about my family members, doctors, ex-bosses, ex-colleagues, and poor go-getters who succeeded in a small way.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My book, Her Millions Are Worthless, is about Jane, who is a beautiful, young, intelligent, and wealthy woman searching for true love. By luck, she meets Bill, a poor but proud young man glued to his cell phone for hours every day.
Despite her initial doubts, Jane falls in love with Bill, and soon, they can't wait until they text each other daily. But as Bill begins to suspect that Jane’s millions are dirty, the young couple is caught in a web of curious questions, evasive answers, and financial secrets. Will their love be strong enough to survive this unexpected challenge?
