Featured Interview With Author A. W. Baldwin
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Ohio, went to Wright State University and later to the University of Idaho College of Law. My first job as an attorney was a legal aid program on the Wind River Indian Reservation and my wife and I have lived here in Wyoming for nearly 40 years. I am a dog lover, but currently am pet-less. I am mostly retired at this point and enjoy writing adventure/thriller fiction – it has far fewer limitations on creativity than the practice of law!
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My first big writing project was a short history I did when I was 16 and I've written just for my own satisfaction ever since, until my first novel, Desert Guardian, in 2017.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Adventure/thriller/mystery are my favorite genres. One of my favorites is the iconic Clive Cussler, but also Edward Abbey, Craig Johnson, and Agatha Christie.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Can a botany student, a couple of old-timers, and genetically modified seeds provide the antidote for climate change? Chased by ruthless thieves, the unlikely trio must deliver the future of the planet to an unknown scientist a thousand miles away… One of the trio has an illegal payload. Another is hiding from Immigration Services. And the cross-hairs on those million-dollar seeds are on them, too…
