I grew up in a large family number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. Quickly I developed a great sense of humor, mostly out of necessity. One of my greatest joys is sitting on the porch where we all were raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly I laugh to myself, as I notice how they embellish the stories more and more each year.
Storytelling was passed down from my grandfather and mother. I caught the bug at a very young age. If my head wasn’t in a book, then I was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what I would write if one day I became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.
Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in my life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, I have spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest in my life. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.
As I approached a milestone birthday, I decided to take my passion for writing and blend it with my desire to continue to help others. As I write my stories, I hope they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to me make a difference in someone’s life each day!
In 2016 I met someone who encouraged me to push myself even further and try my hand at spicy intrigue. One year later I have four books in this new series, and each one is pushing my limits just a bit further.
Like the wind, my life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: my desire to one day start a non-profit organization to help families who are affected by Alzheimer’s and to leave this Earth a little better than when I entered it.
