Run With the Wind is the story of how Sarah, a young Galveston widow whose son is crippled from polio, helps her boy achieve his heart's desire to overcome his affliction as WW 2 explodes upon the world and German submarines threaten. As the events of WW 2 cascade about Sarah, her life falls apart when she learns that her young son has a secret he dare not tell, her lover carries secrets that could topple a government and her great uncle, family patriarch and Galveston pioneer, has secrets of war that must be carried to his grave.

Author Bio:
JIM COLE is a retired civil engineer. While traveling around the world on various engineering projects he always dreamed of becoming a writer. When he retired after 42 years as a consulting engineer, he saw his chance to fulfill that dream. He attended Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Education and took courses in creative writing. Later, he joined writer's associations in Houston and was fortunate to be under contract for several years for short stories for their Sunday supplement magazine, Texas. Later, he won first place in the the Brazos Writers/Barbara Bush Literacy League nation-wide essay contest in connection with the 2002 national display of one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence.
Today, Jim and his wife Marian live quietly in their hometown of Victoria, Texas, where Jim continues his interests in writing as he participates in Victoria's community activities.
