Featured Interview With Marc Mullo
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born, raised and still reside in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I have no wife, children or pets. I do have a one bedroom apartment, and my immediate family includes my aging widowed father and one sibling, a slightly younger brother.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have never really had any such fascination with books, even though I can fluently read. There never really seems to be enough time for anything, reading included. I started writing not long after the tragic events of Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. I write and have written poetry, however, I've had work published in other genres as well. I've also done some blogging in more recent years as well. My one book which is still available on the global markets, primarily online, is entitled "Poetic Potpourri", of which is available in print and digital versions, no audiobook form unfortunately.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favourite Canadian author is Margaret Atwood, to say the least. My favourite genre to write and read is poetry, and there really is no one who inspires me in my writings, inspiration can be very hard to come by, especially as I continue to struggle with mental illness, primarily depression and anxiety.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is a collection of my favourite poems from the initial decade of my writing "journey", as I like to call it. The aforementioned "Poetic Potpourri" can be found on infinite websites including Amazon Canada, Amazon U.S.A., plus Barnes and Noble, just to name a few more prominent sites. This book took only about a month or two to put together in a self-published book, mainly because all of the poems were already written, images and other components needed were added in due process.
