Featured Interview With Lord. P Harrison
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Hey everyone! My name is P Harrison (yes, P.) The P stands for Peneha, but I won't force anyone to pronounce it, so P will do (Laughs). I was raised in a small village town called Ruatorea, but I was also raised in Gisborne for a bit. They're both in New Zealand. I live where ever my work takes me.
I have 2 cats and 2 gold fish who are pretty rad pets too! Haha.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Oh, easily all my life. Books were my friends when no one else nderstood me as a child, and that carried on throughout my whole life. I started writing when I was in my early teens. I started out writing poetry & scripts for plays & movies de to my passion for media. But if I had to say the actual reason I started writing, I'd have to say that I had no one to talk to about deep personal problems. That's when I learned to love myself. Through books. (Smiles with his head down).
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favourite athor is easily my grandpa's sister, Dame Katarina Mataira (nee Harrison). For obvious reason. I like reading books that correspond to life and helping others. Otherwise I'm a sucker for fantasy books & paranormal books!
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is called "Life: Darkness & Light". It's a pretty harsh book to read because of everything thats written in it. It explains both the bad situations in life, as well as those bad situations good sides if you get what I mean. I talk abot how I learned to see, accept, understand & balance both the negatives and positives in life. The reactions I've received are pretty emotional and intense! Heaps of people were left sitting there staring into space feeling emotional and thinking about their lives. Some people felt depressed and pt the book down before giving it a chance, and some people think it's the raw, brutally honest truth about life. It even made someone cry due to the book explaining what they were dealing with in life.
Why is it so intese?
Because I talk to myself both mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally in this book.
