Featured Interview With Ian Schrauth
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Ian Schrauth, and I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I live with my mother in Saint Louis, and I have a little Chihuahua named Charlie. I currently own my now publishing company, Starboat, LLC, and I’m also a freelance Software Developer.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been a story teller my entire life. I wrote fan fictions when I was younger, and when I reached high school, my debut novel, “Powers in a teenage witch”, hit the streets of Amazon. Soon after that, I wrote what is now “Vacillating brown and Black: Vol. 1”.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Oh gosh. My favorite authors are H.M. Ward, Bella Forrest, Hellen Hardt, Meredith Wild, Hannah Hoffmeister, Jamie McGuire, Mandi Lynn, James Patterson, and Colleen Hoover. Oh, and I cannot forget Suzanne Collins, the woman that inspired me to start this crazy journey. When I read her “Hunger games trilogy” in middle school, it flicked a switch in my brain to start writing. The idea I had when I was younger was written, and trashed. I wrote the book again, and discarded the book again. I then rewrote the idea out, and I ended up implementing it into “Bravery in a teenage witch”. The third book in the Tumspuv Genimis series.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
If you’re talking about the ones I’m working on, I have a few to discuss. The first one I’m working on is the final book in the Tumspuv Genimis series, along with The final bool of Tammy’s Point of View in the Vacilaltion Saga, and a few others, including a rewrite of “Dangerously in Love” to feature a whole new setting, a rewrite of the Witchcraft Series, and a few other projects on the stove. The book that’ll be released in March 2019 is a book about what I’ve learned from being an Amway Independent Business Owner. Its a kindle-exclusive, and it tells you the good, the bad, and the lies that I’ve learned form joining them.
