An action packed tale of daring, courage, overcoming insurmountable odds, and the strength of friendship. When the world turns its back on Alex Thompson, the son of a fisherman, his life is shattered. He meets Jack, a retired Navy mechanic, and his granddaughter Maureen who’s past is her own dark secret. Together they stumble on a sunken Navy ship worth millions. Join them as they journey from the depths of despair to the depths of the ocean, battling the perils of wind, waves and a ruthless corporation who will stop at nothing to get the wreck first. With the help of a group of old veterans with nothing to lose, they plot a course straight into harm’s way. When two damaged souls come together to salvage a wreck, can they salvage themselves in the process? Will they find the healing they so desperately need, or will they, too be swallowed whole by the Atlantic?
5 out of 5 stars. Fantastic Job by Holiday!
…Holiday writes with such a passion that you simply cannot help but feel as if you are with the characters themselves. He creates such a unique and exciting story that one would not expect to come from a seemingly innocent, small town setting. The development of the characters throughout the novel is enrapturing. You share in their despair and their triumphs, their tears and their laughter. This book truly explores the complexities of human emotion, giving insight to the difficulties of grief and the courage of perseverance. I loved this book because there was never a dull moment, it keeps you questioning about what could possibly come next. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who seeks a thrilling and heartfelt adventure. This is a purchase you will not regret!

Jackie Holiday was born the fourth of six children. If given the opportunity to meet Jackie Holiday, if only for a moment, you would never forget it! There is nothing predictable about Jackie, or Jackie’s stories. Jackie has a deep love for language, history, and the arts. Jackie Holiday holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and is an accomplished foil fencer. Jackie has a special talent of incorporating bits and pieces of an amazing life into the lives of Jackie’s characters. This is evident In Murder in the E.R.’s tale of The Lady in Black. The story of Deirdre, taking a 14 foot boat to George’s Island, being given a private tour, and hearing the legend of The Lady in Black by a young park ranger is true; taken from the pages of Jackie’s own life. When asked about accomplishments for this books’ jacket, Holiday didn’t care to enumerate a long list of academic awards, patents, copyrights, and winning a beauty contest; instead, Jackie said, “I’ve always done my best to be good, and to be kind to people. That’s what’s most important when we’re writing our own stories. It’s much harder to be a hero than a villain. My motto is: Love others, and love yourself. I’m just happy knowing that I’ve tried hard to be good, and that I’ll continue trying to do my best.” Readers will agree that we see the best of Jackie Holiday with “Murder in the E.R.”
