Featured Interview With Kezia Arterberry
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Kezia and I am anAuthor, Inspirational Spoken Word Poet and Behavioral Health Technician. I'm a Phoenix native and graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2015 with a BS in Psychology. Post graduation, I've worked in the Behavior Health field and have found it to be both challenging and rewarding. A little bit more about me.. I do have a pet, my baby girl is a chihuahua-pug mix named Dutchess. And, she definitely lives up to the name! I am also a proud cheesehead. I love my Greenbay Packers!
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been writing for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I had quite an imagination and I really believe that only
enhanced my enjoyment of writing. I always enjoyed writing for fun. Emphasis on fun. I wrote some of everything; short stories,
poems, songs, comic strips and I'd even put together my own little chapter books. I'd fold the papers in half and staple them in
place of binding. I was all in! But honestly, as I got older, the pure enjoyment of writing began to fade. I think, maybe it had
something to do with all the assigned essays I had to writing in school. You know, we were given topics and guidelines and I've
always preferred to have as little restrictions as possible because the freedom to be creative is what made writing so enjoyable for
me. Ever since then, writing has never been quite "fun" per say. So, I have to say no, I never intended to become an author. In a
way, it was inevitable for me, because its something I'd always done. It's like, it was only natural. I write because its still a great to
express myself and share the message that I've been inspired to share. The books that I write hold a message that is really
meaningful to me.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Without question, V.C. Andrews is my favorite author hands down. While I have read so many of her books already, there are soo many that I have yet to read. Her books are thrilling, mysterious and really keep me sitting on the edge of my seat. And one thing that never fails, at the the end of each book, I'm always left wanting more! My favorite books by V.C. Andrews are Flowers in the Attic, My Sweet Audrina and Whitefern. Other authors that I love are writers of personal development and success, non-fiction titles; Steve Harvey and Brian Tracy just to name a few.

story short, a couple years ago, I attended a Get Motivated Seminar and soon after attended a Gerry Robert 3 day workshop
called Publish a Book and Grow Rich. That workshop inspired me in ways I cannot explain. The information I learned went
beyond learning how to write and publish a book and make money from it. I learned things about mindset and success that
changed my entire outlook on life and how we live it. Ever since, I've been on a mission to share the knowledge I learned and
more, because I've seen results in my life, after applying the information that I learned.
